Interfaith Council for Wales

The Interfaith Council for Wales builds and maintains conversation and co-operation between Wales' faith communities.

The Council champions inter-faith dialogue in Wales, and provides a space for meeting, conversation and cooperation between leaders and representatives of faith communities. In particular, in 2016-17 we are:

-          Supporting the centenary commemoration of the contribution and sacrifice of peoples of all faiths during the First World War.

-          Relating to developments in the national curriculum for schools in Wales through the faith representatives on the Strategic Stakeholders' Group for the development of the curriculum, and by working with the Standing Advisory Councils on Religious Education in each local authority.

-          Supporting the movement towards Cities of Sanctuary and making Wales a Nation of Sanctuary.

-          Representing the Religion sector in engaging with the Welsh Government across all devolved policy areas through the Third Sector Partnership Council.
