Interfaith Council for Wales
The Interfaith Council for Wales builds and maintains
conversation and co-operation between Wales' faith communities.
The Council champions inter-faith dialogue in Wales, and
provides a space for meeting, conversation and cooperation between
leaders and representatives of faith communities. In particular, in
2016-17 we are:
Supporting the centenary commemoration of the contribution and
sacrifice of peoples of all faiths during the First World War.
to developments in the national curriculum for schools in Wales
through the faith representatives on the Strategic Stakeholders'
Group for the development of the curriculum, and by working with
the Standing Advisory Councils on Religious Education in each local
Supporting the movement towards Cities of Sanctuary and making
Wales a Nation of Sanctuary.
Representing the Religion sector in engaging with the Welsh
Government across all devolved policy areas through the Third
Sector Partnership Council.
