Martin Pollard is Chief Executive of the Welsh Centre for International Affairs, a position he has held since 2010.

He leads the charity's strategic development and coordinates work between its various delivery programmes: Hub Cymru Africa, Wales for Peace, CEWC schools work and public events. He also manages other senior WCIA staff and develops new project plans and partnerships.

Having initially qualified as a teacher, Martin has a strong educational background and has worked directly with thousands of teachers and learners. He is the Chair of the Wales Alliance for Global Education and a specialist in the Philosophy for Children method. His past roles include WCVA trustee, member of the Climate Change Commission for Wales, and chair of the Wales Africa Community Links grants panel.
