Karen Whitfield is acting Director of Wales Environment Link (WEL), the network for environmental, countryside and heritage NGOs in Wales. Karen has worked for WEL for seven years as Policy Officer, supporting WEL’s members to work together and have a strong collective voice when campaigning on the most crucial environmental issues, such as climate change and biodiversity loss
Karen has a BA in English Literature from Lancaster University
and also a BSc in Environmental Studies from the Open University.
Karen's previous work experience includes market research for the
private sector and working for the National Assembly Research
Service's Environment Team.
