Third Sector Education and Training Stakeholders Network

The purpose of the Network is to provide a framework for a third sector perspective on education and training in Wales and give the third sector a forum to enable discussion around education and training issues for third sector providers in Wales. The Network is primarily for third sector organisations whose primary purpose is the delivery of education either in the community or the workplace

Organisations wanting to join the network can contact kthryn Robson or Graham Price by email stating what your organisation does and its role in providing education and training.

The Network acts as a consultative group for those third sector organisations who are invited to the ministerial meetings with WG. We are part of a Task and Finish Group working with DfES to address underachievement in schools linked to poverty and to support the Schools Challenge Cymru Programme.

We liaise with other national groupings such as Colegau Cymru, Community Learning Wales, the National Training Federation for Wales, Estyn and Agored Cymru to develop links for third sector providers at a national level.

We are informing the development and delivery of the Curriculum Framework in relation to adult informal learning and the recognition of prior learning;
