The Equalities and Human Rights Coalition was established in 2004, with the aim of enabling those organisations who work in the Equalities and Human Rights field to engage with each other, share information and good practice and influence policy. The Coalition also provides input and representation around voluntary sector equalities and human rights concerns in relation to the Welsh Government's Third Sector Scheme, including the identification of issues and representatives for formal meetings between the sector and Welsh Government Ministers, alongside members of the Third Sector Partnership Council who represent networks of those organisations addressing 'protected characteristics'.

Wales Council for Voluntary Action is responsible for facilitating the Network, which currently has 120+ members. Membership is open to all third sector organisations working in the equalities and human rights field and all organisations working in this field are encouraged to become members.

If you are interested in joining the Coalition please email FHarris@wcva.org.uk and we will ensure you are included on the mailing list for all meetings, and papers.
