We'd like to help you recognise your digital volunteers and tell their stories, to show the world what they do and how important they are.

These could be things that we can blog about and share on social media. We could even get stories into the local or national media.

Volunteers' Week hits north Wales RSPB Cymru reserves

Fun-packed events will be hosted at RSPB Cymru's north Wales reserves from 1 - 7 June during the annual UK-wide festival.
RSPB Cymru will salute their volunteers next week as part of the annual UK festival, Volunteers' Week. The UK-wide festival is arranged to highlight the importance of the work conducted by volunteers across the UK. Events will be held at RSPB Cors Ddyga (formerly known as RSPB Malltraeth Marsh), RSPB South Stack and RSPB Conwy to recognise and reward both current and new volunteers for their invaluable support for nature.
RSPB Cors Ddyga will be holding a pop-in session on 3 June between 10am - 4pm as part of their celebrations for Volunteers' Week. You'll be able to create nestboxes, take part in a guided walk and lend your hand to the practical management of the reserve.
RSPB Conwy's Biodiversity Fair will take place on 3 June between 10:30am and 4pm offering a morning bird walk and hands-on nature activities. The fair will also have an abundance of information on how you can put your volunteering skills to good use and help nature in your area.

RSPB South Stack's photography competition will continue to run with winners selected each month. The competition is on throughout the year as part of the reserve's 40th birthday celebrations. Information will also be available at the reserve on how you could lend a hand as an RSPB Cymru volunteer and help make a difference for nature.
Newly appointed RSPB Cymru Community and Volunteer Development Officer, Eva Vazquez-Garcia, has been given the task of recruiting volunteers across North Wales. She said: "Volunteers' week is a great opportunity to highlight the amazing work undertaken by our volunteers in Wales. I began my volunteer journey at University when I discovered that volunteering is vital when it comes to making a positive change in the world. Through volunteering, I've had the opportunity to visit stunning places, meet remarkable people and made a difference by helping others to discover how much we depend on nature."
Volunteers' Week is an annual celebration of volunteers. Award events, recruitment fairs and exhibitions will be held across the UK to celebrate our volunteers. Local communities are also encouraged to participate and use the opportunity to support the event through fundraising or volunteering.

Eva continued: "As an RSPB Cymru volunteer, you can meet new people, learn new skills, improve your CV, see and help fantastic wildlife or even help improve your fitness. Volunteering is also a great way to work towards a career in conservation. You can give as much or little time as you can, and your work will help us protect our wildlife, now and in future."
Please email Eva.VazquezGarcia@rspb.org.uk for more information about becoming an RSPB Cymru volunteer or contact the reserves directly.
