Sandy Clubb, Third Sector Consultant, asks: what happens when you combine increased demand on public services, with decreasing budgets to deliver them? How can we deliver better outcomes, by involving people differently? What might public services look like in ten years, with volunteering as a much bigger part of how they are delivered?
These are some of the questions I set out to explore when the
WCVA commissioned me to write
a paper on the topic of volunteering in public services.
I would not be alone in my endeavours - accompanying me were the
trusted band of 'volunteering champions' otherwise known as the
Volunteering Wales Network.
