Introduction to safeguarding

11 February 2020, Bangor - Delivered through the medium of English

Aim

To give an introduction to safeguarding that will increase participants' knowledge and understanding of their safeguarding responsibilities and where to find further information.

Content

Welsh Government has said that "Safeguarding is everyone's business", while the Charity Commission has stated that "Safeguarding is a key governance priority" for charities. Safeguarding should be a priority for all third sector organisations, and especially those that work with children, young people and adults at risk. Good and appropriate safeguarding provides public reassurance about your organisation and contributes to the positive reputation of the third sector in general.
