This course aims to provide knowledge and understanding of data protection requirements, to ensure that organisations comply with the law and good practice

Introduction to data protection

The laws governing data protection are due to undergo significant change when the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) comes into force in May 2018.

Some aspects of data protection will remain the same, so it's essential you know how to comply with the current laws as they stand and how the GDPR will impact your organisation going forward.

Non-compliance could see your organisation facing very large fines, as well as risking damage to its reputation.
