Cuts to heritage funding
In 2014 the amount of money Welsh Government has to spend on
public services is
9.4% lower in real terms than it was in 2010. The impact
of these cuts are perhaps most keenly felt in the heritage sector
where funding for museums, libraries and environmental
organisations is currently very tight.
But there's good news! There are plenty of examples of Welsh
organisations who have diversified their funding, achieving
remarkable fundraising success in difficult financial times,
tapping into, for example, private donors, corporate sources and
trusts and foundations.
