Trustees Week 2019: Inspiring Trust and Confidence in your Charity 6pm - 8pm, Monday 4 November

As part of Trustees Week 2019 WCVA is pleased to invite you to an event held in partnership with Hugh James

This event will be particularly relevant for the people who lead charities in Wales, including Chairs, trustees and Chief Officers.

Maintaining the trust and confidence of your beneficiaries, funders and donors is essential to the successful delivery of your charity's aims. The Charity Commission's new statement of strategic intent aims 'to ensure charity can thrive and inspire trust so that people can improve lives and strengthen society.'

With a presentation from The Charity Commission for England and Wales and a practical workshop from Annabel Lloyd, Managing Director at PR & Communications company Golley Slater, this event will help you think about how you can ensure your charity inspires trust and confidence and maintains an excellent reputation with your beneficiaries, funders and the public.

This event will also provide an invaluable opportunity to network with the Chairs, trustees and Chief Officers of other organisations in Wales.

Governance health check

We've created an interactive governance health check for trustee boards to use. It's a self-assessment toolkit and is a great resource to help you ensure your organisation is as well governed as it can be. It can also assist boards of any size to demonstrate their good governance to funders, beneficiaries and stakeholders.
