Do you know how to manage conflicts of interest?
Charity trustees are responsible for making sure that any
conflicts of interest are identified and prevented from influencing
the decisions that the trustees make about the charity.
Trustees have a legal duty to act only in the best interests of
their charity. They must not put themselves in any position where
their duties as trustee may conflict with any personal interest
they may have.
This can feel tricky and complex, but Baldwins Accountants have
created a simple checklist to help trustees follow a process when
they become aware of potential conflicts of interest.
