Join in the conversation around the future of EU Funding in Wales

WCVA's Third Sector European Team, or 3-SET as the team is better known, supports third sector organisations currently delivering, or interested in delivering, European funded projects or contracts.

The team does this through information dissemination via training, networking and events. 3-SET also represents third sector interests, experiences and concerns and raises these with Welsh Government on behalf of the sector. This two-way communication is becoming increasingly important as the UK prepares to withdraw from the EU.

Over the years, Wales has received significant investment from the EU Structural Funds. Under the current programme, 44% of Wales' current EU funding is allocated to supporting people and improving their skills and job prospects.

It's anticipated that the UK Government will soon release further information about its Shared Prosperity Fund, the proposed successor to EU Structural Funds. It's really important that the third sector in Wales has its say on what this successor fund should look like. 3-SET is holding a series of engagement events on this subject to help you contribute to the conversation. SOVA ACE is a third sector project that supports Black and Minority Ethnic people in Wales to access training, volunteering and employment opportunities. Here, they tell us about their project and the importance of EU funding in impacting and changing people's lives within our communities:
