3 Jan 2018

You are invited to a preview event for the newly revised Climate Just website and map tool on 9 February 2018, hosted by Cardiff Metropolitan University and presented by the University of Manchester.

This event is in association with the Welsh Government, Natural Resources Wales, the Future Generations Commissioner for Wales and is supported by the Joseph Rowntree Foundation.

This free to access, online resource for public service providers is being re-launched in February 2018 and for the first time will include data and mapping on current and future flood disadvantage in Wales. This event will enable stakeholders to discuss the implications of climate justice in Wales and try out the tool for themselves before it becomes publicly available. This event will:

  • Help you to understand the future challenges facing Wales from both a climate and a social vulnerability perspective
  • Support the inclusion of climate change risks within Well-being Assessments and Plans, in response to the Well-being of Future Generations Act
  • Provide pointers to useful evidence for Local Development Plans
  • Inform those working in flood-prone areas with responsibilities for emergency planning, public health, housing and social care

Early booking is recommended as places are limited.
