Farmers and foresters from all sectors are urged to keep up to date with the latest innovation and technologies by attending the wide range of knowledge transfer events provided through Farming Connect’s new demonstration network...

Located throughout Wales, 12 cross sector sites are now ready to share best practice and demonstrate innovation with others who may be able to implement these new ideas within their own businesses to increase efficiency and profitability.

Eirwen Williams, head of rural programmes with Menter a Busnes, which delivers Farming Connect, said that the new demonstration network includes eight innovation sites based at Wales' agri-education establishments, which will trial and demonstrate a wide range of projects to further inform and support the industry's business progression and ambitions.

Projects and trials run at the farms will be informed by research findings from the Farming Connect Knowledge Exchange Hub, a new initiative between Farming Connect and IBERS, Aberystwyth University's world renowned Institute of Biological and Environmental Research. The aim of the Hub is to provide a high-level pipeline between available research and those providing advice or working within the land-based industries in Wales.
