Joe Stockley

Joe is a Cardiff University graduate with a degree in Ancient History. He has experience working in the 3rd Sector, working as a researcher for Diverse Cymru, supported by years of volunteering in Wales in a range of roles. Diverse Cymru work to support people faced with inequality and discrimination, effecting change through consultancy, training, and promoting stories and experiences.

Joe also sits on the British Youth Council board as a Trustee, and was previously the UK Young Ambassador for Wales, representing Welsh young people at a national and international level. During his studies, he chaired the academic representatives group within Cardiff University making sure that students' voices were prevalent. He is an experienced interviewer and speaker, and has experience organising and running a range of events and round tables. Joe also sits on the Cardiff and Vale Youth Health Board. Joe is passionate about research, young people and their skills, & engaging unheard voices, charities that work with young people need to have young people involved with their strategy!  He works a lot in the UK to promote both young people and the role that young trustees can play in an organisation. 

Outside of work, Joe spends most of his time being adventurous with his cooking, sampling new whisky, and recording music. Before discovering cooking, he was a runner. His guitar is his prize possession.
