The Ministerial meetings take place in spring and autumn every year. Items can be put forward by the third sector and the Assembly provided that they fall within the Ministerial brief and that they address broad sector issues. It is not possible to discuss issues relating to single organisations in this context, unless it has the endorsement of the planning group.
There is provision to discuss issues arising from the Assembly’s budget planning round at one of the meetings every year.
You can view minutes of the most recent meetings on this website or at www.wales.gov.uk.
A Third sector planning group meets in advance of each ministerial meeting to review progress from the previous meeting, to agree items to be put forward for the next agenda and to prepare supporting papers. Membership of the planning groups is agreed by the Voluntary Sector Partnership Council and includes those Third sector networks related to the ministerial brief.
Support to the planning group and the ministerial meeting is provided by Michael Delahunty, Policy Officer, WCVA. You can contact her at the Cardiff office on 02920 431746 or mdelahunty@wcva.org.uk.
