WCVA and the Bevan Foundation have worked together on a conference titled Hard times ahead: meeting the challenge of poverty in 21st century Wales which aims to stimulate debate on tackling poverty as people continue to have to make do with less. The conference will take place at Cardiff City Stadium on Wednesday 30 May 2012.
Coming as the Welsh Government launches its Tackling Poverty Plan, the conference will aim to gather ideas and debate fresh approaches to helping others survive.
The Welsh Government has recently issued a consultation seeking views on whether there is a need for a separate legal jurisdiction for Wales. This document explains what a separate legal jurisdiction is, what system we have in place in Wales at the moment, what this consultation is about, and why this is relevant to the third sector in Wales.
