Positive action in your area - putting the 'C' back into Community

Positive community activity continues in earnest across Wales’ Communities First areas. If you are looking for ideas to make your community a better place, here are some of the ways in which small amounts of funding recently awarded can go a long way.

Having, last month, won the Wales Award from The Prince’s Foundation for Integrated Health, EcoDysgu were delighted to receive a Royal Visit on the 24th of June 2009.

Communities First areas across Wales are set to receive over £3m from the Communities First Trust Fund for 2009/2010. 




Funding from the Communities First Trust Fund has been successfully utilised by Haverfordwest Skate Park Association (HSA) towards the hiring of a mobile skate park and mini-ramp for use at the recent South West Youth Fest. The Youth Festival was a great opportunity to demonstrate the demand for a skate park facility locally and to work in conjunction with the festival organisers, The Garage Youth Club, Haverfordwest, and local youth workers.
