This is currently available to Communities First staff only. It will be open to all third sector funding advisors and development workers from January 2009.
What?
Finding the right funding mix is intended for those who wish to encourage others to adopt a more sustainable approach to their funding. It will provide an insight into helping others explore and extend their funding and finance options to work towards financial sustainability.
Topics covered will include:
- What is sustainable funding and what it means in today’s funding climate
- The steps to sustainability
- Introducing new and alternative sources of income and finance to others
- The skills and approaches required for a sustainable future
- Inspiring others to think differently
By the end of the course participants will:
- understand the concept of sustainable funding and be able to communicate this to others
- appreciate the stages involved in developing and implementing sustainable funding strategies
- have the knowledge and resources to provide advice and information to those wanting to develop a sustainable funding approach to their work
- be able to help others explore and extend their funding and financing options
This interactive workshop provides a mix of presentations, group work and open discussion. All participants will receive a comprehensive pack of tools and resources to assist them in their work.
