This course will cover the key characteristics of focus groups including; when they should and should not be used, planning and preparing for a focus group, the advantages and disadvantages of different options for structuring a focus group, the skills required of the facilitator and the roles that help a group to function well, handling difficult people or circumstances in a focus group.

When people are involved in organisations because of strong beliefs and commitment, differences of approach and style can quickly become issues.
