This year’s event will focus on opportunities from food waste. Speakers include: Richard Northridge – Cwm Harry Land Trust Katie Trent – FareShare North Wales / CREST Co-Operative Cath Kibbler – Community Composting Network Richard Edwards – Edwards’ Acre, Llanmerewig
Tackling food waste is one of the most important things we could be doing to make our communities more sustainable. Food waste is being targeted by all UK waste strategies – restaurant and household food waste are to be included in recycling targets, adding an extra incentive for collection. There is a wealth of opportunity for smaller scale operations to help reduce food waste locally. Cylch have put together a training day aimed at community organisations and local businesses who are interested in expanding their operations in this area. Topics will include: • Community led food waste Collections • Smaller scale Anaerobic Digestion • Community Supported Agriculture Confirmed speakers include Richard Northridge (Cwm Harry Land Trust) and Cath Kibbler (Community Composting Network) The day will be hosted by Cwm Harry Land Trust, a sustainable social enterprise with many years’ experience in growing, composting and provision of food waste collection to the community. Come along to find out how food waste can generate cash and community benefit for YOUR organisation. Cylch or CCN Full Members: £30+VAT AFOR members: £40+VAT All other delegates: £45+VAT
