This course will take a marketing approach to fundraising from individuals. It will look at how to go about recruiting and developing individual donors in order to provide a sustainable funding stream for your charity. It is intended for those new to fundraising from individuals and also those with some experience wanting to increase their understanding of the potential for fundraising from individual donors
By the end of this course participants will be able to: • Recognise the importance of marketing techniques • Understand what motivates people to give • Create a plan for fundraising from individuals • Develop appropriate cases for support • Understand how to evaluate and monitor the performance of direct marketing campaigns • Take advantage of tax-effective donations and gifts • Ensure they comply with relevant legislation and best practice • Know where to go for further information, help and advice
